Hello blog world! It's been a while since I have posted. To be honest, I just don't feel like I ever have enough or something to post about. But a thought came to my mind last night as Trent and I were sitting at my parents house waiting for my sister and her little family to move back home from Switzerland. {eek!} I find myself comparing a lot. I follow a lot of bloggers and as much as I love reading about their adventures and seeing pictures of their beautiful clothes and nice big apartments, I can't help but think "I wish I lived there..."..."Why can't we go on a big trip like that?..."..."I want that outfit..."..."That couple probably never argues..." Trent got on my case about this and reminded me how wonderful our life is. Before going to bed Trent said a prayer with so much gratitude for what we have and asked that we can just be happy and loving in our lives.
I woke up and did my usual social media splurge and came across a post from a friend who just started her own blog. She said that she wants to post about her lifestyle but most importantly about the things that bring happiness to her life. "I know some struggle with finding happiness. including myself from time to time, and this is my way of counting my blessings so to say." Well said my dear.
Now the reasons why I haven't blogged since April is because I felt like I had nothing worth while to post and it would make me depressed to even think about blogging. {sad right?} Now I have a new found reason to blog. Happiness. I feel that when I blog I will find happiness and a way to count my blessings. I have so many blessings and I have some work to do with being more grateful and recognizing them.
Here's to an incredible life. A loving husband. A perfect gospel. A crazy, yet cute dog. A supportive family. Great friends. A cozy apartment. Two jobs that help us pay the bills and enjoy a fun life. A beautiful thing that I call being married to my best friend.
